WHERE IT STARTS
The foregoing is important as much as it’s imperative. The initial Funding in this foundation will set the tone for its success. We will go on to do great things, our gratitude and for those that benefit, will never be forgotten.
THE STORY THAT INSPIRED
Challengers Boys and Girls Club located in a tough community of Los Angeles desired a tennis program and asked me to advise. The founder of Challengers, Lou Dantzler raised millions to buy the six homes directly behind the club; he then proceeded to build a 4 court stadium style tennis facility. After launching program we had 300 kids playing weekly and dominated all Westside Tennis Clubs in team tennis competition. Lou had a vision and a formula to achieve said vision and I was part of it, we created a level playing field for these kids…He said with my drive and talent for understanding children I can one day do the same.

WHAT I LEARNED
1. Have an original plan that makes me work hard but will be easy for parents and children to execute.
2. When funding, approach the richest people you know…rich with money and rich with compassion; he emphasized it has to be both.
3. Lastly and most important he says…be consistent and vigilant in your actions.
